- Palace linked with Bayern Munich youngster
- Arijon Ibrahimović has just one year left on contract
- Potential for a huge coup for Palace
Bayern Munich’s Arijon Ibrahimović has been linked with a move away from Germany, according to TeamTalk. Both Aston Villa and Crystal Palace are interested in the 20-year-old midfielder, who spent the 2025/26 season on loan with Heidenheim.
Across his time with the side that finished second-bottom of the Bundesliga, Ibrahimović scored twice and registered four assists.
Whilst Heidenheim were relegated to Bundesliga.2, Ibrahimović was one of their most influential and important players. His form has proven to both Palace and Villa, as well as the likes of Fulham, that he is ready to play in the English top flight.
This season was Ibrahimović’s third successive loan, after he spent a season with Frosinone in Italy six months with Lazio.

Who is Arijon Ibrahimović?
Ibrahimović is a 20-year-old German midfielder who is highly regarded as one of the most exciting prospects in European football.
His current contract at Bayern Munich expires in 2027, and so with a year left on his current term, Premier League clubs are beginning to circle for him.
He joined the Bayern youth setup in 2018, and became the second-youngest debutant in Bayern Munich history in 2023.
Despite his parents being from Kosovo, Ibrahimović has represented Germany at youth level.
Whilst there is consistent confusion, there is no relation to former Swedish striker Zlatan Ibrahimović.
Scout Report
Ibrahimović can play as both a central midfielder and an attacking midfielder. He is technically excellent, and has superb ability with the ball at his feet.
His versatility and raw ability makes him an extremely appealing option in the upcoming transfer window. Strong finishing ability in and around the box has seen him score some superb goals, and his lightweight dribbling ability makes him a threat when carrying the ball.
Positional awareness is another strength of Ibrahimović’s game, and a lot of his big chances come from him finding space in the box and evading defenders to create chances.
His dribbling ability is a huge part of his game, and he possesses a locker of incredible tricks that he uses to evade challenges.
Ibrahimović’s workrate is also a positive to his game, and something that stands out considering his age.
His passing ability is also strong, with the ability to occasionally cut out Adam Wharton esc through balls, but this part of his game still needs refining.
Whilst there is clearly an extremely exciting and promising player there, Ibrahimović still has a lot of development to undergo.
Bayern will likely request a hefty transfer fee in order to allow him to leave the club. However, his contract length benefits potential buyers.
Bayern supposedly view Ibrahimović as a long-term option for them going forward, despite the growing interest, and will reevaluate his position and future in the first-team squad this Summer.
