Crystal Palace face Manchester City in the Premier League tonight (May 13th), and they could have a huge say on the title race. The Eagles’ main focus is preparing for their first-ever European final when they face Rayo Vallecano on May 27th.

Oliver Glasner’s men can’t be relegated but also can’t qualify for Europe via the league. That doesn’t mean the South Londoners don’t have anything to play for in the remainder of the league campaign.

Palace will want to finish the season as strongly as possible and as high up the table as they can. They come up against a City side looking to pip Arsenal to the title and they can move two points behind with a win.

Team News

Palace will be without four players for tonight’s encounter with City. Eddie Nketiah is ruled out for the rest of the season with a hamstring injury and Cheick Doucoure is continuing to recover from a lengthy spell out that included knee surgery.

The game has come too soon for Evann Guessand who is recovering from a knee problem. That’s also the case for Borna Sosa.

Glasner said in his pre-match press conference that he hopes to have the duo back for the Brentford clash on Sunday (May 17th). Other than that, the Eagles are good to go, including Ismaila Sarr, who reached 20 goals for the season in last Sunday’s 2-2 draw against Everton.

As for City, they look set to be without Abdukodir Khusnaov after he suffered a knock against Brentford. Rodri will be assessed ahead of the game after missing his side’s last four outings due to a groin problem.

Josko Gvardiol could return for the game after a lengthy spell on the sidelines with a broken tibia. But the main talking point is Marc Guehi who is available and is expected to start against his former club for the first time since moving to the Etihad in January.

Man City vs Crystal Palace – Prediction

This is a must-win game for City because even a point will almost certainly hand the title over to Arsenal. They face a Palace side who are eagerly awaiting their first European final later this month.

Glasner will still want his team to finish the Premier League strongly. But the Citizens should be too strong at home and mark Guehi’s first outing against the South London outfit with a victory.

Prediction: Man City 3-1 Crystal Palace
