Everton fans hijack Zaha’s comments to tease Palace over online video

A number of Everton fans have stormed Wilfried Zaha’s Twitter comments to tease Crystal Palace fans about the speculation linking him with a move to Goodison Park this summer.

The Ivory Coast international posted a one-minute video of his best bits from a training session earlier on in the week:

Zaha asked the Eagles to let him leave for Everton following a £60million bid for his services during the transfer window, but the move fell through and he’ll be supplying his trade at Selhurst Park for at least until January.

It could be very likely that the 26-year-old switches allegiances mid-way through the season, and these Everton fans aren’t letting those of Palace forget it.

In all honesty, it’s very difficult to see the transfer speculation surrounding Zaha disappearing until he does complete a move away from Palace.

Unless he struggles to get his head down and performances aren’t up to scratch, fans shouldn’t be worried about that though.

He won’t be playing for the club forever, so ultimately he just needs to be appreciated whilst it’s important.

matchday.
