Crystal Palace vs Everton – Key Battles

A new Premier League season is almost upon us, with Liverpool’s clash with Norwich City at Anfield opening up proceedings on Friday night.

Crystal Palace kick-off their campaign with the visit of Everton on Saturday afternoon, which promises to be an entertaining encounter.

The Eagles’ transfer window cannot be classed as too positive, even though Wilfried Zaha has stayed at the club instead of joining their weekend opponents.

Palace now risk having an unhappy Zaha in their ranks, which could upset the harmony within the squad, while Aaron Wan-Bissaka has departed to Manchester United.

Some new faces could be on show, though, including Gary Cahill, James McCarthy and Victor Camarasa.

On the flip side, Everton have flourished this summer, making a number of impressive signings.

Youngster Moise Kean has arrived from Juventus, while Alex Iwobi was an intriguing deadline day capture from Arsenal.

Ahead of the much-anticipated clash at Selhurst Park, here are three key battles to watch out for.

matchday.
