Crystal Palace vs Everton: Combined XI

It seems like just last week Crystal Palace defeated AFC Bournemouth in that enthralling 5-3 victory at Selhurst Park, but now after a summer break the Eagles return to Premier League action against Everton.

Wilfried Zaha is set to feature – for Palace, not the visitors – as Roy Hodgson’s side look to break a five-match winless streak against the Toffees to start the 2019-20 season in strong fashion.

The omens may be against Palace, who have never won an opening day Premier League fixture at home, but they ended last term unbeaten in four matches and will be looking to extend that run here.

Everton strengthened their squad in the transfer window, recruiting Juventus striker Moise Kean and Arsenal’s Alex Iwobi, whilst Palace made midfield acquisitions in the form of Victor Camarasa and James McCarthy.

Here, I’ve conjured up a combined line-up featuring the players who are likely to feature this weekend (just to clear up why there may be some notable absentees).

matchday.
