Palace fans fuming as Hodgson confirms summer business is done

Speaking to Sky Sports News, Roy Hodgson has confirmed that Crystal Palace’s summer transfer business is complete, meaning Wilfried Zaha should stay at the club this season.

However, supporters are fuming at the club’s failure to replace Aaron Wan-Bissaka following his £50million departure to Manchester United more than a month ago.

The transfer window will slam shut at 5pm this evening, but Hodgson gave a car interview whilst leaving Palace’s training ground around half an hour ago and confirmed there would be no more incomings or outgoings.

The Eagles confirmed the signings of midfield duo Victor Camarasa and James McCarthy yesterday, but with Joel Ward the only natural right-back in the squad, the inability to invest in a new man has baffled many.

A lot of the uproar online has been aimed towards Steve Parish and Dougie Freedman, who will probably be content with the summer business. At least Zaha will be supplying his trade at Selhurst for now…

matchday.
