Huddersfield land Puncheon on loan

Crystal Palace midfielder Jason Puncheon has completed a move to Huddersfield Town.

The 32-year-old arrives at the John Smith’s Stadium on loan until the end of the season as the Terriers bid to avoid the drop down to the Championship.

David Wagner’s side find themselves in the relegation zone just after the halfway point of the campaign, leaving them with an uphill battle in the coming months.

However, they will have Puncheon at their disposal for the second half of the season after he fell out of favour under Palace manager Roy Hodgson.

The Eagles are well stocked with options in the middle of the park and out wide, leaving the former Southampton star with little role to play at Selhurst Park in recent weeks.
