Predicted XI: Manchester United (A)

Roy Hodgson was expected to help turn Crystal Palace’s season around but through two Premier League games the Eagles are still winless, pointless and goalless with September nearly in the books.

You couldn’t have pictured a worse trip for Palace next than a journey to the north west to take on a free scoring Manchester United side who sit joint-top in the table.

To make things worse, the Eagles are in somewhat of an injury crisis at the moment with a number of first-team stars out.

It has been confirmed that Christian Benteke will be out for up to six weeks with a knee ligament injury, while the likes of Wilfried Zaha and Connor Wickham aren’t fit to return from their respective injury layoffs.

Midfielder Ruben Loftus-Cheek will also miss out while Timothy Fosu-Mensah, on loan from Manchester United, is ineligible.

Here’s a look at our predicted XI for Saturday’s game.
