Official: Crystal Palace release 11 players

As is custom, the Premier League have released their official released and retained lists ahead of the start of the transfer window and they have today announced who will be leaving Selhurst Park.

Crystal Palace will be saying goodbye to no fewer than 11 players this month, most notably striker Frazier Campbell.

Campbell joined Palace in a £1m deal from Cardiff in 2014 but has failed to really cement a place in the side in south London, scoring just eight goals in 50 appearances.

Midfielders Joe Ledley and Mathieu Flamini have also been confirmed to be leaving the club.

Ledley, 30, has been at the club since 2014 following a £3m move from Celtic and has been a key figure in the first-team.

During his time at the club, Ledley made 96 appearances for Palace, scoring on six occasions.

Flamini arrived at Selhurst in September to act as cover in midfield and made just 13 appearances for the club.

Defender Zeki Fryers has also played his last game for the club. The 24-year-old joined from Tottenham for £3.2m in September 2014 but spent the majority of his three years at the club out on loan, making only 14 appearances for the Eagles.

Jonathan Benteke, brother of star striker Christian, has also left the club after the expiry of his one-year deal. He made one sub appearance this season.

Kwesi Appiah, Corie Andrews, Luke Croll, Ryan King-Elliot, Randell Williams and Ben Wynter have all also been released.

matchday.
