Fabian Delph named as one of Crystal Palace’s top targets

Sam Allardyce will be meeting with Steve Parish at some point next week to discuss Crystal Palace’s summer recruitment plans and they’ve already drew up a list of initial targets.

In addition to trying to negotiate a deal with Liverpool to sign Mamadou Sakho on a permanent basis, the Eagles are interested in bringing in Fabian Delph from Manchester City, say the Guardian.

Delph has very much been a bit-part player for City following his £10m move from Aston Villa in July 2015 and he missed virtually the entire first half of the season through injury.

Having made 13 appearances for City this season, scoring twice, it’s evident that Pep Guardiola doesn’t see Delph in the first-team picture at the Etihad and may look to offload him if the right offer came in.

Palace could really overhaul their midfield in the summer with Joe Ledley poised to leave the club when his contract and Brighton remain interested in signing James McArthur.
