Crystal Palace have scouts watch Nigeria vs. Senegal

Crystal Palace were one of a number of clubs to have representatives present at Hive Stadium for Nigeria’s international friendly with Senegal last month, according to All Nigeria Soccer.

”Many European scouts came to watch the game,” one scout told the website as representatives from fellow English clubs Manchester United and Newcastle United were present, while scouts from Besiktas, CSKA Moscow and Standard Liege were also in attendance.

In terms of players on the radar of Palace, the report suggests that Moses Simon, Wilfred Ndidi, Eddy Onazi and Oghenekaro Etebo were all noticed by scouts on the night.

Ndidi has impressed since joining Leicester in January, beginning to fill the void left by N’Golo Kante when he left for Chelsea last summer, while Moses Simon has also been linked with a number of Premier League clubs of late.

Ogenyi ‘Eddy’ Onazi of Lazio is one of the standout young players in Serie A over the last few years and is always coveted by Premier League outfits.
