Palace striker leaves on loan

Crystal Palace forward Freddie Ladapo has been loaned out to League 1 side Oldham Athletic, the club’s official website has confirmed. Ladapo will remain on loan with Oldham until January 2nd.

Ladapo signed for the club from Margate in March of this year, after a successful trial with the U21 side. He made his first appearances in Palace colours in pre-season and has been on the bench for the Eagles first Premier League games.

However, with Palace announcing the signing of Loic Remy it pushes Ladapo further down the pecking order at Selhurst Park.

Ladapo already has experience of playing in League 1 as he made six appearances for Colchester United in that division during his time there. He was with The Us for three years between 2011-2014. He was released in 2014 and joined Kiddiminster Harriers on a free transfer.

Ladapo will wear No.12 for the Latics, and makes his debut in the EFL Trophy against Carlisle United tonight.

matchday.
