Palace confirm signing of Remy on loan

Crystal Palace have confirmed the signing of Chelsea striker Loic Remy on a season-long loan, the club announced the deal via their official Twitter account.

Remy moved to Chelsea in 2014, after failing a medical in his proposed move to Liverpool, but has struggled to cement his place in the first-team with competition from fierce competition Diego Costa.

Despite only appearing sporadically for Chelsea, Remy still has a good goals-to-game ratio in the Premier League. His time in England so far has seen him score 32 goals in 90 appearances – most of which came from the bench.

Remy adds even more firepower to Palace’s attack, with the Eagles having made Christian Benteke their club record signing in recent weeks.

There is, however, no option to buy Remy at the end of his loan spell at the club.
