Crystal Palace 0-3 Chelsea: What We Learned

Crystal Palace suffered their fifth home defeat of the season to a resurgent Chelsea side who looked comfortable in a 3-0 win on the one-year anniversary of Alan Pardew’s reign at Selhurst Park.

Without the likes of Yohan Cabaye, Connor Wickham and Yannick Bolasie, the Eagles were expected to struggle for creativity and goals against Chelsea, despite the dreadful form of the champions so far this season.

After a lively start, Pardew eventually saw his depleted side struggle as Chelsea broke down the Palace defence and proved to be clinical in front of goal.

While the defeat still leaves Palace in 7th place, it could also tempt the Palace management to dip their toes into the January transfer market.
