Palace’s Murray Could Be on His Way Out

With the reported signing of Sunderland striker Connor Wickham, and the loan deal of Patrick Bamford, the striker position for the Eagles seems to be full with some talented players.

This over run of strikers is very good for Crystal Palace as a whole, but it is difficult for the players involved. One player that seems to be suffering is last season leading scorer Glen Murray.

The Mirror is reporting that Palace’s Murray wants to leave the club this summer after players like Scott Dann and Jason Puncheon have received big deals recently, and that may leave the club no choice but to let him go.

The 31 year-old Murray joined Palace in 2011-12 and played a key role in the Eagles promotion to the EPL in 2013-14. Murray has recently signed a new contract with Palace and sees the club may have to move the striker to find room for the summer arrivals.

Murray, who spent the first half of last season on loan at Reading, finished the season as leading scorer with seven goals for the Eagles. While at Reading, the Englishmen was able to score eight goals and also lead the club in goals.

The Mirror is also reporting that clubs like Norwich and Bournemouth are on Murray’s radar and a move could be figured out soon.
