Benfica to rival Palace for Zoet
Crystal Palace appear to be holding a genuine interest in PSV Eindhoven goalkeeper Jeroen Zoet this summer.
Frank de Boer appears to be keen on adding a new shot stopper to the ranks, with Wayne Hennessey and Julian Speroni the only recognised, senior goalkeepers at his disposal.
Palace have been heavily linked with a move for Zoet in recent times but according to a report from Portuguese news outlet A Bola, as cited by Sport Witness today, Liga NOS outfit Benfica have joined the race.
The Dutch goalkeeper is claimed to be rated at a price of €15m by Eredivisie giants PSV, which is sure to be an affordable sum for a lot of European clubs.
However, A Bola hint that a deal could be struck at a lower price, which may prompt Palace to make a move for De Boer’s compatriot.
Palace have also reportedly had an offer worth £3.5m turned down for West Ham goalkeeper Adrian.
